Leitz Canada Elmarit 1:2.8/28 lens, serial number 2197206. This is an early example of the classic Leica M-mount 28mm wide-angle lens from the first production series, made in Canada around 1966. It features manual focus and aperture control, a compact design suitable for Leica M rangefinder cameras, and focuses to approximately 0.7 m with a minimum aperture of f/22.

Condition Report
The lens exhibits light cosmetic wear typical of its age. There are minor scuffs, small marks and light paint wear on the black barrel and rings. The front and rear glass elements show normal reflections with no heavy fungus or significant haze clearly visible. The mount shows some wear and residue. Focus and aperture rings appear intact. Overall condition is good; full optical performance is not verified beyond visual inspection.
In very good cosmetic condition with clean glass free of haze, scratches and cleaning marks. Very slight coating damage visible in one spot. This is the infinity stop version with 9 elements. Cap and hood 12501 M included.
