Description

Leitz Wetzlar Summicron 1:2/35 lens, serial number 1686926. This is an early example of the first version of the classic Leica M-mount 35mm f/2 Summicron, produced in the late 1950s at the Wetzlar factory. It features 8 elements in 6 groups, manual focus and aperture control, and was the first Leitz wide-angle lens to offer an f/2 maximum aperture. The lens is supplied with the original IROOA hood.

The chrome finish shows minimal to no wear, fine scratches and minor marks consistent with careful use. The black front ring has some light scuffs.
