This auction is for a 19th CENTURY AMBROTYPE TINTYPE GOLD LEATHER FRAME BRITTISH COLONIAL This charming piece of history was located in an antique store, here in South Africa. Since this was part of a collection of family heir looms, this little girl was probably the daughter of a colonial merchant in the 19th Century. The frame has a beautiful ornate leather backing. The brass mat is of typical late 50s - 1860s British style. The case is American late 1850's
